How to Apply for Project REACT

Important: All applications must be submitted both here on the Project REACT website AND through the recruitment system specified by the host institution (if any). 

Application Steps

Eligible candidates should select and rank up to three preferred doctoral projects out of the available 15, indicating their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices. 

To apply, please prepare and submit the following documents as a single pdf: 

  1. Detailed CV

  2. Cover Letter explaining your suitability for the position, including your professional background, research experience, and interests. 

  3. A research statement (2 pages max) describing your personal research interests and previous research projects. 

  4. Copy of your highest degree diploma and, optionally, your academic transcript or student record. 

  5. The names, affiliations, and contact details of two referees who can support your application. 

Applications are submitted via the online Application Form. 

Selection Process
  • Applications will be reviewed by the Project REACT Selection Committee. 
  • Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis. 
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for online interviews. 
  • In case of duplicate submissions, only the first application will be considered. 

Key Dates
  • Application Period:July 1, 2025October 30, 2025
  • Recruitment Completion:Preferably, all doctoral candidates should begin their appointments by November 1, 2025.

  • All Project REACT partner institutions are committed to diversity and equal opportunity. 
     
  • Accepted candidates will be formally enrolled in PhD programs at the designated Project REACT universities.
